Fabric and production techniques
Seamless training tights
Seamless garments are garments that are (mostly) produced by a circular knitting machine, and are therefore knitted as a tube to avoid seams in the garment. This results in soft and comfortable garments that provide good freedom of movement and feel light on the body. We have a large selection of seamless garments with different properties for you to choose from.
Tights with seams
In our non-seamless tights, we use high-quality fabric that is sewn together with seams designed for both function and aesthetics. Essential Tights are a great option if you want a tight with a seam. These have good compression, are high in the waist and have a high-density stretch fabric.
Warp knit
Warp knit seamless is a seamless manufacturing technique that results in highly elastic, breathable and durable garments. The technology binds the yarn tightly together with parallel loops that are tied together in a zigzag pattern. Several of our garments are produced with this technology, including Agility Tights and Stamina Tights .
Weft knit
Weft knit is another manufacturing technique that differs from warp knit in that it is knitted from left to right in rows instead of the warp's vertical knitting that goes up and down the garment. The advantage of weft technology is that it creates garments that are stretchy and comfortable, but also insulate well and retain heat in cold environments. Most of our seamless garments are made with this technology.
Wool tights
Our Wool Knit Leggings are made from merino wool and are super soft, anti-static and moisture-wicking. These leggings insulate well against the cold and are perfect for both a run in the winter cold and for cozying up at home.
Activities
Running tights
To choose the best running tights, there are several things to consider. Among other things, you want tights that promote running movement, that do not slide down during your run and that are suitable for the temperature you will be running in. Most running tights are sewn (i.e. not seamless) to support the typical running movement, but if you want a versatile tights that provide good movement in all directions, a seamless tights with a strong waistband that fits well on the body can also be a good alternative. Techna Tights and Ella Tights are two of our best running tights with seams. If you are going out and running in the cold, our soft Softy tights can also be a great candidate.
Tights for strength training
The best tights for strength training are tights that have good support, are not easily see-through, and allow plenty of room for movement. Also, make sure the tights are high-waisted and fit well so that they don't slip down during your workout. Tights like the Vortex Tights 2 and Elevate Vortex 2 tights are well suited for this type of training.
Tights and trousers for hiking and climbing
If you are looking for training tights for hiking and climbing, it is a good idea to make sure that you have tights that are durable and flexible. In addition, it is a good idea to make sure that they fit well and do not slip down during the journey. If you are going out on a trip, it may be a good idea to adapt to the weather, so choose pants or tights that provide extra warmth, such as our Everest Thermal Pants or Light Thermal Leggings .
Yoga tights
The best yoga pants are usually pants or tights in soft and stretchy fabric that allows for plenty of room for movement. You can go for classic yoga pants with flared legs, or more fitted but soft tights like our Softy Leggings .
Tights for everyday use
We are big fans of wearing tights for everyday use as well. For everyday use, you have slightly different needs than for intense strength training. Finding the right size of tights
Something that is very important for you to be happy with the training tights you buy is of course that you find the right size. The tights should not be too big as this can cause them to wrinkle and not fit tight enough so that they slide down during your workout. If they are too small, however, it can cause them to be too tight and uncomfortable. At the same time, a small tights increases the chance that they will be transparent when you do squats, as the fabric will be stretched thinner than is ideal. Here are some tips on how to find the right size the next time you buy tights.
Fabric and stretch
Our tights vary in terms of the fabric used, and some have more compression than others, which means they will be tighter. Tights with very stretchy fabric may be a good idea to size down, especially if you are switching between two different sizes. This is because these tights will not tighten as "hard" around the waist, so you should make sure they are small enough so that they fit well enough during high-intensity training. We encourage all our customers to include a size rating when leaving reviews of our products. This way you can easily see on the product page whether other customers who have purchased this garment before recommend going up or down a size.
Our size guide
We also have a size guide on our website to help you choose your size. We recommend that you use this and measure yourself at home before purchasing to ensure that the tights you choose fit you and your body. Since it can also be difficult to find training tights that are suitable for children or a younger age, you can read tights for girls , which can help you choose the right one based on different activities.
